Kuwait- Labor minister refers top official to interrogation for alleged fraud 

(MENAFN - Arab Times) Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Thikra Al-Rashidi has referred a senior official of the ministry for interrogation for allegedly tampering with the labor quotas of companies and committing other irregularities including work permits, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.

According to reliable sources, the minister is determined to organize the labor market, combat visa trafficking and eliminate the phenomenon of joblessness in addition to confronting all forms of corruption.

Meanwhile, Minister Thikra Al-Rashidi has suspended one of the candidates from the electoral list from the Sabah Al-Nasser Cooperative Society for failing to meet conditions, especially with regards to good conduct and behavior, reports Al-Shahed daily quoting reliable sources.

The same sources said this is a bold step taken by the minister, which is expected to be executed next week.

The minister has also issued recommendations to follow and control the electoral work.

She has also called on all candidates, without exception, to respect the conditions and has formed a legal teamwork to study the file of each candidate.

In the meantime, the Assistant Undersecretary for Legal Affairs in Civil Service Commission (CSC) Nahla Bin Naji recently announced the names of a new batch of 2,274 citizens for employment in the government authorities. The names include those applying for jobs with CSC, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
The daily explained that the sector strictly coordinates with government agencies to provide qualified personnel to fill vacant positions, according to needs.

Beginning March 11, nominees may visit the sectors where they have applied for jobs, taking with them the necessary documents, without referring to CSC. They may also visit the website of the newspaper: www.alseyassah.com for more information.
