(MENAFN - Qatar News Agency) Qatar's environment-friendly fuel manufacturer Oryx GTL welcomes this week around 50 natural gas conversion industry experts to its Gas To Liquid facility in Ras Laffan as part of a key gas symposium.
The expert delegation will receive a first-hand insight into the cutting-edge technology and streamlined processes which drive the global GTL manufacturer, the company said. The gas conversion experts are attending the tenth edition of the Natural Gas Conversion Symposium (NGCS10), currently in progress at the Ritz Carlton Doha.
The symposium, sponsored by Oryx GTL which started March 2, concludes here tomorrow.
Assembling here senior gas industry experts from around the world, for the Symposium is an opportunity for Oryx GTL to underscore its game changing contributions to synthesis gas technology development and commercialisation since 2006, and showcasing the GTL value proposition, the company said. In his keynote address at on the opening day of the symposium, Oryx GTL Chief Executive Officer Abdulrahman M Al Suwaidi said Qatar's decision to become the global gas conversion leader is the result of visionary leadership and in line with the national strategy of meeting global energy needs.
"To be successful in meeting these ambitious objectives, it is not enough to have plentiful natural resources at our disposal," said Al Suwaidi.
