(MENAFN - Emirates News Agency (WAM)) The Arab, GCC and Emirati tourism sector were represented in Berlin, Germany, by a number of prominent figures and authority presidents and companies who were present at the inauguration of the Abu Dhabi Pavilion at the International Tourism Bourse 2013, ITB 2013.

The pavilion hosts a total of 63 companies from Abu Dhabi, demonstrating around 80 services and products, most notably, comprehensive hospitalisation centres, a large group of hotels and Spas and leisure venues, along with travel agents and tour organisers.

The two-floor pavilion was visited by the UAE Ambassador to Germany, Juma Mubarak Al Junaibi and was introduced to the products demonstrated at one of the largest travel and tourism exhibitions in the world. The Ambassador expressed his delight at the level achieved by the Tourism sector in Abu Dhabi.

He told Emirates News Agency (WAM) that Abu Dhabi is living a tourist boom, thanks to the vision of the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the directives by His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

Al Junaibi also affirmed that Abu Dhabi has succeeded in placing its mark on the international tourist destinations' map.

On his part, the international Promotions Manager at ITB 2013, Mubarak Al Nuaimi, has alluded to the importance of Abu Dhabi's participation at such events in increasing the number of tourists to the emirate, which is now witnessing a big surge in the Hotel and Real Estate sector including shopping centres and housing.

He also cited the increase in the recreational products during the last year with the opening of seaside Golf courses, hotels and spas and Hospitalisation centres.

Al Nuaimi also stressed on the Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority's keen interest on introducing Abu Dhabi as a favourite tourist destination for Germans.
