(MENAFN - Arab News) Ibrahim Fahd Mu'ayqil, director general of the Human Resources Development Fund (HADAF), said that the number of Saudi teachers who benefited from the fund's teacher support programs in private schools is around 27,000.
He told Arab News that HADAF aims at shoring up salaries of Saudi teachers at private schools, so that the minimum salary will be SR 5,000, in addition to a transport allowance of SR 600.
He explained that there is a standard teacher contract for private schools. The contract was drafted by a joint committee from the Ministry of Labor, the Ministry of Education, and HADAF. The fund deposits its contribution directly in the teacher's bank account, he said.
When asked about the actions that the fund will take against schools who failed to cooperate with the fund, he said that the Ministry of Education is the party in charge of taking official and legal action against the schools that decline to comply with the High Order. He gave examples of the job titles approved for support by the fund.
These include school principal, educational supervisor (superintendent), teachers of all subjects, special education teachers, student counselor, and school librarian.
