(MENAFN - Emirates News Agency (WAM)) The Department of Transport (DoT) in Abu Dhabi announced today its official sponsor of Abu Dhabi Air Expo 2013, which will be held under the patronage of H.H Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor and Vice Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, at Al Bateen Executive Airport, from 5th to 7th March 2013.
This initiative plays a vital role in developing a world-class aviation industry in Abu Dhabi.
DoT reinforces its participation in this exhibition, which is considered one of the largest air shows dedicated to private jets that reflect the growing importance of aviation industry in the Arab world and the entire region. The exhibition will witness the attendance of more than 12, 000 visitors plus major aviation players from across the GCC, Europe and the United States.
On the sideline of the event, DoT will conduct a workshop under the title: "Air Transport Exhibitor in Abu Dhabi", which will be attended by a number of prominent aviation sector companies such as Royal Jet, Al Jaber Aviation (AJA), Falcon Aviation Services (FAS), Maximus Air and other local and international companies.
The workshop will take place on Thursday, March 7, 2013 and will address the latest developments and techniques adopted in the aviation sector, in addition to important topics related to the aviation transport sector like challenges that operators face, future prospects and other areas relevant to this growing industry globally.
It is worth mentioning that Abu Dhabi Air Expo is an integrated platform for the decision-makers and leaders in the general aviation sector to share views and experiences to promote their latest innovations and development in the aviation sector, with a continuously growing audience of businesses, pilots and aviation enthusiasts around the world.
