(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) Indian School Darsait (ISD) will organise its annual carnival on April 25 and 26.
In a recent press conference, Dr Subhash B Nair, the school's vice principal said, ''Last year's carnival was a grand success with more than 16,000 visitors. This year we are expecting 35,000 visitors, and our children will get an excellent opportunity to showcase their talent and organisational skills.''
The carnival aims to raise funds for infrastructure development and helping needy students, said Harish Sidhartha, member of the School Management Committee (SMC). ''Our target is to make RO50,000 to RO60,000 from the carnival,'' he said, adding that the school has always been supportive of students whose parents cannot afford paying the fees
The carnival will have food stalls, games, bungee jumping, henna application, face painting, handicrafts and magic shows. It will be open from 3pm to 10pm on April 25 and from 4pm to 10pm on April 26. Entry is through coupons only. Coupons cost RO1 per person for two days.<
