UAE CRMA auditors top Middle East

(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The UAE Internal Audit Association, or UAE-IAA, on Tuesday announced that the UAE has topped all Middle Eastern countries in terms of the number of internal auditors who obtained a Certification in Risk Management Assurance, or CRMA, a prestigious international certificate which allows audit practitioners to provide advice and assurance to audit committees and executive management. The UAE-IAA also announced that the deadline for receiving applications for the CRMA was extended until the end of March due to the high demand. According to UAE-IAA, the country has also ranked fourth worldwide, preceded only by the US, Canada and China, in the number of internal auditors who hold CRMA certifications. "The UAE is considered one of the world's fastest-growing countries in the field of internal audit. The ranking of UAE as one of the top countries in the CRMA is a benchmark, which will motivate us to work harder towards consolidating our position and taking this profession to higher levels," UAE-IAA president Abdulqader Obaid Ali said. The CRMA is considered one of the most promising professional certificates, which is designed for internal auditors and practitioners who are interested in risk management assurance. Holders of this valuable certification will be able to provide assurance on core business processes in risk management and governance, educate the management on risk management concepts, as well as focus on strategic organisational risks.
