Golden Deeps strikes more copper with Namibia drilling

(MENAFN- ProactiveInvestors - Australia) Golden Deeps (ASX: GED) has intersected further high grade copper from drilling and identified further electromagnetic anomalies to the south of known mineralisation at its Deblin Copper Mine in Namibia. Reverse circulation drilling has intersected a top result of 7 metres at 2.15% copper and 1.5 grams per tonne gold from 71 metres including 2 metres at 4.12% copper and 3g/t gold from 74 metres. Previous drilling in October 2012 had returned results of 8 metres at 1.28% copper from 87 metres including 3 metres at 2.96% copper and 7 metres at 3.23% copper from 169 metres including 3 metres at 6.08% copper. The drilling has also confirmed that mineralisation remains open to the southeast. Assays are outstanding for five holes in the current program. This ties in well with a surface electromagnetic survey that identified three highly conductive bodies southeast of known copper mineralisation. Several copper in soil anomalies have also been identified along strike from Deblin and represent high priority drilling targets. Followed up geophysics and drilling will be planned depending on the results of channel sampling that is being carried out.
