Fiat Chrysler ME 2012 sales hike 66%


(MENAFN) Fiat Chrysler EMEA COO, Alfredo Altavilla, announced that the carmaker's sales across the Middle East soared by 66 percent in 2012 from a year before to 25,321 units, reported Arabian Business. Altavilla said that the new yearly record in the region was boosted by the release of the latest models across the Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram ranges. The COO added that in 2012, Fiat Chrysler, which has facilities in Lebanon, Qatar, the UAE, Kuwait and Palestine, added facilities in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, and in 2013, it plans to add facilities in Jordan, Oman and Iraq. He added that in terms of sales, the company was the fastest growing manufacturer in the region in 2012, with its Chrysler Brands. It is worth noting that in December 2012, Fiat Chrysler sales in the region hit 3,127 units, and in January 2013, they surged by 55 percent from 2012's same period to 2,385 units.
