Police probe as Kuwaiti convict flees from hospital


(MENAFN- Arab Times) A Kuwaiti inmate known as Fuhaid Al-Ajmi escaped from the Chest Hospital where he was admitted few days back due to some illness. According to security sources, the suspect, who received four life sentences for a drug trafficking case, was taken to the Chest Hospital where he was guarded by securitymen. However, when the officers fell asleep during duty, the prisoner managed to steal the keys of one of the securitymen's sports-vehicle and escaped. A case was registered and a special security team was formed to find and arrest the suspect. Investigations at the prisons are ongoing with the cooperation of Criminal Investigation Department. Securitymen circulated the suspect's picture and details of the vehicle among the patrol teams. They have also started investigations with the officers who were guarding him at the hospital to determine how he escaped using the vehicle.
