(MENAFN) Bosnia and Herzegovina's (BiH) Foreign Trade Chamber's president, Bruno Bojic, announced that the country's economy remained idle last year, reported Xinhua News.

Bojic said that during the July-December period of 2012, BiH economy reported some enhancement compared with the previous 6-months period, however, in the first half of the current year, the economic stagnation is expected to persist.

Furthermore, in 2013 second half, Bosnia's economy will encounter unpredictable situation, as Croatia, the country's main trade partner, will join EU in July.

It is worth noting that in 2012, BiH's exports fell by 2.92 percent from a year before to USD5.5 billion, while imports dipped 1.24 percent to USD10.1 billion.
