Great Western Exploration targets Bullseye project

(MENAFN- ProactiveInvestors - Australia) Great Western Exploration (ASX:GTE) has started drilling at its Bullseye project near Wiluna in Western Australia to test the mineralisation intersected in historical rotary air blast drilling that included 8 metres at 25.1 grams per tonne and 8 metres at 61.7g/t gold. The company is planning to complete 13 shallow reverse circulation holes. During the last quarter, Great Western completed ethnographic and archaeological surveys at the Gidgee Well prospect and also obtained drilling approval. This prospect has been a high priority target for the company for over 18 months, which is the time it has taken to get the tenement granted and all statutory approvals for drilling completed. Also during the quarter the company extended the Bullseye project to the south targeting the Waroonga Shear Zone. The Waroonga Shear can be traced south from Bullseye towards the Agnew Gold Camp and is rated highly by research funded by Geoscience Australia in 2010, which classifies the prospectivity of known structures through the Eastern Goldfields.
