UAE's Abu Dhabi Group inks USD45b Pakistani investment deal


(MENAFN) Abu Dhabi Group has inked an agreement with Pakistan's property mogul Malik Riaz for the investment of USD45 billion, reported Emirates 24/7 citing local news channel Geo. The channel said that of the total amount, USD35 billion will be allocated for investments in Pakistan's Sindh province, while the remaining USD10 billion will be invested in Lahore and Islamabad. It added that the deal, which will create more than 2.5 million jobs in Pakistan, will see the introduction of the world's tallest building, to be located in Karachi, Pakistan's financial capital. Furthermore, Karachi will welcome a Sports City, an International City, a Media City, an Educational and a Medical City, according to the agreement.
