(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) has recorded the highest growth rate with a 12% increase nationwide, a senior official said here Sunday.
PhilHealth Regional Vice President Oscar Abaddu in Cagayan Valley said this while elaborating achievements of the organization during its 18th anniversary celebrations at Crown Pavilion here, the Philippines News Agency (PNA) reported today.
Abaddu said that for the past years,the movement was quite slow and has
low rate of enrollment because PhilHealth had previously been a single institution.
He also added that in January 2011, they conducted campaigns to different local government units and reached 85% of the total coverage in which the content of their database grew to 237,000 from 79,000. Last November the corporation had issued an advisory to hospitals on Philhealth card use and issuance of memorandum for relaxation of documentary requirements.
