Royal Jordanian to fly to Algiers

(MENAFN) Jordan flag carrier Royal Jordanian Airlines (RJ) plans to expand its network in North Africa, Arabian Business reported. The airline said it will start flying twice a week to Algerian capital Algiers from February 25. The new service will feed other routes in the region including Jeddah and Medina, targeting Algerian Muslims traveling to the Saudi Arabian holy cities for hajj and umrah pilgrimages, the carrier added. RJ aims to capitalize on Algerians seeking specialist medical treatment in Jordan. RJ will expand that service with a third weekly flight starting on April 1. Earlier this month, RJ unveiled plans to boost the number of flights to Libya to 15 weekly.
