Oman's first multi-level basement parking facility coming up in Ghubra 

(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) After building Oman's first elevator parking last year, Intelligent Parking and Elevator company is executing the country's first multi-level basement parking project in Ghubra.

Thasleem Khan, CEO and managing partner of Intelligent Parking and Elevator company, said, ''The project will be completed soon. The multi-level basement parking, which can accommodate 66 cars will be connected with a hydraulic lift. Seventy five per cent of the equipment is being manufactured in Oman while the rest is being imported from South Korea.''

Khan said the facility is fully automated where the driver just has to collect a parking card and leave his car inside the parking room. ''The system will check a vacant slot and then send the car down accordingly. To drive out, the driver has to swipe the card and the car will come up through the same mechanism.''

The company, a technical arm of North Ocean Enterprises, which provides automated car parking solutions, has also been awarded ISO 9001:2008 certificate for its operations.

The company has also started operations at its new factory in Barka. Shabbir Boriyawala, chairman of Intelligent Parking and Elevator company, said, ''This new manufacturing unit will ensure delivery of quality products to our customers. The ISO certificate will motivate us to raise the bar in meeting customer requirements.'
