(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) Officials from the Directorate General for Combating Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances have arrested five Asians from Seeb for smuggling, possessing and selling drugs.
The five are said to be part of an international drug ring. Two of them were nabbed while selling drugs. Heroin capsules and cash were seized from them. A raid on their residence led to the arrest of the other three with 153 heroin capsules besides hashish, cash and tools to traffic the drugs. A weighing scale and covers to hide the narcotics were also recovered,' a press release issued by ROP said.
15 Labour Law violators arrested in Oman
Fifteen Asian nationals violating the Labour Law were arrested from Saham, North Batinah governorate, in early morning raids on Monday.
Some of those arrested were also found to be violating the Telecommunication Regulatory Act, according to a statement issued by ROP.
ROP also coordinated with the Public Prosecution to conduct the raids.
