(MENAFN - ProactiveInvestors - Australia) Proto Resources & Investments (ASX: PRW) expects to by the end of this week complete drilling the diamond tail of its current drill hole targeting nickel sulphide at the Mt Vetters project in Western Australia.
The combined reverse circulation/diamond drill hole is currently at a depth of 236 metres and will be drilled to 350 metres to test for the continuation of the Black Swan " Silver Swan nickel sequence.
Mt Vetters is located 39 kilometres north northeast of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia and 5 kilometres south of the Black Swan and Silver Swan Nickel Mines owned by Norilsk Nickel Australia.
Previous drilling at Mt Vetters has been too shallow to intersect the komatiite basement that is to be tested by this program.
Black Swan and Silver Swan nickel sulphide mineralisation are valid target types for the BSKC extensions on the Mt Vetters ground. Importantly, the footwall zone correlates with the western edges of the magnetic anomaly beneath the Mt Vetters tenement.
Proto has a 50% interest in Mt Vetters.
