(MENAFN - Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Kuwaiti Minister of Commerce and Industry Anas Al-Saleh has arrived here to partake in an Arab consultative forum of the World Trade Organization (WTO) due here on Monday.
He was received at Amman airport by Jordanian Minister of Industry Hatem Al-Halawani and Kuwaiti Ambassador in Jordan Hamad Al-Duaij.
Speaking to KUNA, the Kuwaiti minister said the visit comes at the invitation of his Jordanian counterpart to attend the forum to be held under the sponsorship of Jordanian King Abdullah II.
The meeting will attract cabinet ministers and officials from Gulf and Arab countries, he said, adding that Kuwait will present a working paper to the gathering.
He lauded Kuwaiti-Jordanian relations as "strong", boasting that Kuwait is the key investor in Jordan.
For his part, the Jordanian minister lauded Jordanian-Kuwaiti ties as "very firm" and being given much attention by the wise leaderships of both nations.
He hailed economic and trade relations between Jordan and Kuwait, saying Kuwait is the key Arab and foreign investors in the kingdom.
The Arab consultative forum of the World Trade Organization (WTO) is primarily intended to provide a platform for the WTO and Arab decision-makers to exchange relevant views.
