Saudi Assistant Petroleum Minister Meets Japanese Economy Minister


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Assistant Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources for Petroleum Affairs, met here today with Japanese Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Toshimtsu Motegi and his accompanying delegation currently visiting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. During the meeting, they reviewed the situations of the international oil market and it was agreed that it is in the state of clear stability and oil supplies are sufficient to provide the global consumption. They also discussed the bilateral cooperation between the Kingdom and Japan in the fields of petroleum and energy and ways of strengthening them, including the expansion of Japanese investment in the Kingdom, especially in advanced industries. The Japanese minister promised to urge Japanese companies to enter into such investments. The meeting was attended by Prince Faisal bin Turki bin Abdulaziz, Advisor at the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, a number of senior officials of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, and Japanese Ambassador of to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Jiro Kodera.
