Kuwait- Investors'' jitters cause lackluster atmosphere at KSE

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) closed last week's trading bearishly after gains posted by the benchmark during the past 10 weeks, Al-Oula Financial Brokerage Company said in a report, released on Saturday. Traded liquidity grew, with the daily trade value amounting to KD 41.8 million, compared with KD 31 million the week before. Investors' jitters resulted in a general lackluster atmosphere, reflected in halt of the upward trend of the market indices. Market capital value of the listed companies reached, in end of the week trading, KD 29.6 billion, with a drop of KD 224.6 million, 0.8 percent in contrast to the week before. Major strategic players, initially, tended to invest in blue-chips, however prevailing speculations and corrections, prompted them to be over-cautious.
