(MENAFN - Arab Times) The government has initiated important procedures for the implementation of a comprehensive corruption-control plan in line with directives from HH the Amir to combat the phenomenon of corruption prevalent in the country, reports Al-Anba daily quoting informed sources.
They revealed that the Cabinet demanded a committee headed by Minister of Justice and Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Shareedah Al-Maosherji to immediately submit a report on cases of public fund depletion.
They stressed that the government will carry out the commendations of the committee if it provides evidences of any official involved in violations against the public fund.
Meanwhile, the Secretary-General of National Democratic Alliance Khalid Al-Khalid has warned against the dangers of the current situation in the country, indicating that the current political crisis is profound and is unprecedentedly escalating.
In a press statement, he pointed out that the crisis has dismantled the Kuwaiti society and produced dangerous blocs with intentions to carry out harmful actions.
He lamented the unacceptable behavior of Ministry of Interior by launching accusations against the political activists and Twitter users.
He stressed that the judiciary is the only safe shelter in a country of democracy and any harm against it is considered as harm against the Constitution and democracy, indicating that it is normal to see individuals, against whom judicial verdicts were issued, to display improper behaviors; however, it is not acceptable to involve the judiciary in political conflicts.
He held the nullified majority bloc responsible for the deterioration of the opposition blocs due to its persistence in acting alone and isolating itself from other political blocs.
