Abu Dhabi- Japan Economic Meeting to kick off today


(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) Nasser Ahmed Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Department of Economic Development in Abu Dhabi and Japanese Economic, Trade and Industry Minister Toshimitsu Motegi, will on Sunday open the Abu Dhabi- Japan Economic Meeting, which will be attended by the high profile officials and businessperson from both countries. Al Suwaidi and the Japanese minister will deliver two inaugural speeches to highlight the developments of economic and investment relations between the two sides, as well as plans of the two governments to strengthen the role of private sector. To be held at Intercontinental Hotel Abu Dhabi, the event will witness the signing of the Abu Dhabi-Japan Economic Council Treaty to further boost the joint cooperation in a number of economic fields, in addition to the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Department of Economic Development Abu Dhabi and Tokyo Research Centre for Advanced Science and Technology to enhance cooperation in the areas of science and advanced technology. The sessions will also feature the Emirate of Abu Dhabi investment potentials and opportunities in the light of the Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030, which focuses on the development in a number of non oil sectors to achieve the sustainable development.
