(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) The Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) has signed the Memorandum of Understanding with its Polish counterpart to boost cooperation in the area of the securities and investment.
Abdullah Al Turaifi, CEO of SCA signed on the behalf of the UAE, while Andrzej Jakubiak, Chairman of the Polish Financial Supervision Authority signed on the behalf of his country.
Present were Saeed Al Mansouri, UAE Economy Minister and UAE Ambassador to Poland Asim Mirza.
The signing of the MoU comes within the framework of recent talks held by the UAE Minister of Economy in the Polish capital, Warsaw, at the sidelines of the first meeting of the Joint UAE- Polish Economic Committee meetings.
Al Turaifi said the MoU will provide the framework for cooperation and understanding regarding the investment flow and joint listing of the securities in the financial markets of both countries, noting that the deal will also support the transparency system so as to protect the investors at the financial markets.
He added that the MoU also focus on the exchange of technical support, especially information regarding the transactions and streamlining of the securities markets.
