Russia's Wheat Export Grows to 16 Million Tonnes


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Russia's wheat export increased by 5.6 percent in 2012, as compared to the preceding year, and amounted to 16.025 million tonnes, the Federal Customs Service said in its report made public on Friday. In the period under review, the country's wheat export in value terms went up by 23 percent to 4.518 billion US dollars, the document cited by Itar-tass underlined. Besides, Russia's wheat export to the foreign countries (exclusive former Soviet republics) grew by 6.6 percent to 15.488 million tonnes, the Customs Service said, adding that the export of the kind in value terms soared by 24 percent to reach 4.359 billion US dollars.
