Retired Kuwaiti Army Officer Stabbed, Robbed In Jordan


(MENAFN- Arab Times) A retired Kuwaiti Brigadier was recently attacked allegedly by a Jordanian gang while the latter was visiting the country, reports Al-Shahed daily. According to reliable sources the armed gang broke into his apartment and stole all his money, bank cards and official documents. The suspects then stabbed him several times with a knife and left him bleeding. Without going into further details, the daily said investigations are underway to identify the culprits. Meanwhile, a Kuwaiti citizen was arrested recently for attacking a company representative (mandoub) when the latter failed to bring him newspapers for several days, reports Al-Rai daily. According to security sources, the victim rushed to Qairawan Police Station and lodged a complaint against the Kuwaiti citizen, informing securitymen that the suspect attacked and spit on him when he failed to bring him newspapers for several days. The victim submitted a medical report to prove the injuries he sustained during the ordeal. Securitymen summoned the suspect to the police station and questioned him. He confessed that he insulted the mandoub because he suspected that the latter was selling the newspapers elsewhere for profit. A case was registered against the Kuwaiti citizen for necessary legal action against him.
