(MENAFN Press) Comguard, a Dubai based leading value added distributor for IT products and part of the Spectrum group in association with EC Council recently held a roadshow in Dubai, which was attended by a large number of partners from all across the Middle East region.

Several leading IT training and certification institutes from across Middle East region including UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Lebanon, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar among others participated during the roadshow. The event witnessed leading names from industry attending the roadshow in full strength i.e.Global Knowledge, New Horizons, Sites Power, Formatech, PROCLOUD, BIBF, Pioneers, Infocenter, SMT and Vision.

The roadshow saw several key executives and technical experts from both Comguard and EC Council present. The Regional Director EMEA of EC-Council, Ms. Hanan Wagie shared her global overview while highlighting the best practices and said, "Partners in the Middle East can also implement similar best practices at local level to gain the edge over the competition. EC Council comprehensive course content provides partners a leverage to attract IT professionals to further upgrade their knowledge to the global standards, which will allow them to safeguard the Middle East region against the growing number of security threats."

During the course of event, partners were also updated about the latest market and technology trends in the IT security domain particularly to keep them abreast with dynamics of the industry. EC Council also unveiled its Sales and Marketing plan for the year 2013 that will allow partners in the region to double their sales this year.

Mohammad Mobasseri, Senior Vice President, Comguard, said, "Convergence of technology into consumer space is providing a new thrust to IT security, which is opening up new doors of opportunity for our partners who can now deliver the best of the breed IT security training and certifications in the region. With active support from EC Council, our partners can expect a good growth both in sales and margins."

With the overwhelming success of this roadshow, Comguard intends to conduct more roadshows in future with EC Council in the region.
