(MENAFN Press) (EMAILWIRE.COM, February 04, 2013 ) Chicago, IL --
The credit card debt problem is affecting more and more people in America, a situation worsened by the economic crisis that hit the world. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has come up with guidelines on how to deal with the problem, one of those being the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, geared to protect consumers from abusive credit collectors.
Because of this government initiative, companies offering debt relief programs have sprung up in the scene. But not all are helping their clients and just cashing in, said consumer correspondent Susan Koeppen on her report on CBs News' Early Show. On her Twitter page, she comments "We want them out of business. We don't want debt settlement companies to be in a position to rip off people, hardworking people who, in this economy, are really struggling." The government has issued the same warning against imposter websites. Through its consumer information page on its website, the FTC has published its guidelines and urges the people to report to their office fraudulent acts of such companies.
Kristi-allen.com chose to deal with this concern to grace their new website look because of its present-day relevance to the citizenry. Their latest interface boasts of a more pleasant lay-out that is easier to the eyes yet maintaining its professional look. The categories are well sorted and arranged and navigation though the pages is a lot easier. The site now also features recent news pertaining to issues that affect consumers in order to give its readers updated information. Samantha G., a working mother from New York and a long time user of the site has this to say, The new look is great and finding information is so much easier. For a busy person like me, I truly appreciate this innovation.
Managing personal finances is challenging to most of us and is it good to seek advice only from reputable and trusted sources. When looking for advice on credit card debt relief, it is always good to check with the concerned government agencies regarding the legitimacy of the company being considered.
