Kuwaiti, bedoun impersonate police, rob many expatriates


(MENAFN- Arab Times) A Bedoun youth was arrested recently for impersonating as a police officer to waylay expatriates and rob them of their cash and other possessions, reports Al-Anba daily. According to security sources, an expatriate had lodged a complaint at a police station against two individuals who had impersonated as police officers and were driving a vehicle without a number plate. They waylaid him and took KD 200 from him. He provided securitymen with the details of the vehicle using which they managed to arrest the Bedoun. At the police station, the expatriate identified the Bedoun as one of the suspects. The Bedoun confessed during interrogations that he and his Kuwaiti accomplice had committed 20 similar crimes. A case was registered and investigations are ongoing to arrest the Kuwaiti suspect.
