Saudi SABIC's Geleen plant output cut on union action


(MENAFN) Saudi Basic Industries Corp (SABIC) said production at its Netherlands plant has decreased over union action, Arabian Business reported. Production at Geleen plant fell with effect from due to the a proactive measure taken by the union workforce as a consequence of no finalised agreement regarding work conditions, SABIC Europe Chemicals said in a statement. SABIC said it was keen to protect its investments, and was "considering all other options available. SABIC Europe Petrochemicals is a subsidiary of SABIC, focusing on polyolefins, with its head office located in Sittard, Netherlands. SABIC Europe runs three petrochemical production sites in Europe including Geleen Netherlands, Teesside in UK and Gelsenkirchen, Germany.
