(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) The second-seeded Cypriot pair of Konstantinos Ilia and Michail Pervolarakis claimed the boys' doubles title at the Oman ITF Junior U18 tennis tournament on Friday, upstaging the top-seeded duo of Milen Ianakiev of Great Britain and Xander Vyes of Belgium in the final at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex.
The Ilia-Pervolarakis combination won 6-2, 6-4.
The girls' doubles crown went to the Dutch pair of Janine Hemmes and Ingervan Dijkman, who defeated the French duo of Appoline Rassat and Julia Soica 6-3, 6-1 in the final.
In boys' singles, fourth seed Mert Adanali of Turkey made it to the final with a 6-2, 6-2 win over eight seed Arturs Lazdins of Latvia in the semifinals.
In the title clash, Adanali will take on second seed Xander Veys of Belgium, who rallied to beat the sixth-seeded Ilia 5-6, 6-4, 6-2 in the other semifinal.
In girl's singles action, Appoline defeated unseeded Egyptian Habiba Lasheen 6-4, 6-4 to set up a title showdown with Ingervan Dijkman of the Netherlands.
Ingervan booked her place in the final by beating second-seeded Yekaterina Gubnova of Kazakhstan 3-6, 6-3, 7-6. Both the finals will be played on Saturday.
