(MENAFN - Emirates News Agency (WAM)) Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA) has revealed that the rate of Emiratisation within the Authority reached 72% by the end of the year 2012.
While 100% of the higher management of the Authority consists of UAE nationals, the supervisory and executive positions have emiratisation rates of 96% and 65% respectively. Specialised and technical positions have achieved 69%.
In terms of various sectors of the Authority, the Agricultural Affairs sector boasts an emiratisation rate of 96%. The rate of Emiratisation in other sectors is as follows: The Animal Wealth sector (47%), Food Safety (70%), Strategy and Performance Management (86) and Policy and Regulation (55%).
Mohamed Jalal Al Rayssi, Director of Communication and Community Service at ADFCA, said at the Tawdheef 2013 in Abu Dhabi that the Authority was seeking to recruit 70 nationals during the recruitment fair for various professional and technical positions.
"We are meeting with national graduates to introduce them to the functions of ADFCA and to explain to them the job opportunities on offer for them. We, in association with the Abu Dhabi Tawteen Council, have attracted many nationals to work with us. We provide excellent training for the new recruits to equip them for the performance of their duties in the Authority. Providing excellent career opportunities for young nationals is part of our strategic objectives and development plans," he added.
