(MENAFN - Emirates News Agency (WAM)) The UAE is interested in expanding its trade and economic cooperation with Kosovo and exploring potential investment opportunities for the benefit of business communities in both countries, Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid Al Qasimi, Minister of Foreign Trade, said today.

At a meeting with visiting First Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo Behgjet Pacolli, Sheikh Lubna stressed the importance of increasing trade exchange between the UAE and Kosovo and other East European countries which are experiencing rapid economic growth. She spoke about the UAE's prominent international trade standing, being classified as the world's 20th biggest exporter and 25th largest importer.

The meeting discussed ways of promoting joint investment and boosting trade exchange.

For his part, the Kosovan minister stressed his country's sincere desire to consolidate its cooperation with the UAE in joint investment and ventures.
