French Sofitel sets up regional office


(MENAFN) Luxury hotel brand Sofitel announced that at the start of the year, it has set up a regional office to oversee its properties in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region, in addition to the Indian Ocean, reported Emirates 24/7. The MEA office will be managed by the newly hired Senior Vice President, Sami Nasser, who will lead operations and supervise the brand's growth in the region. The brand of French Hotel Group Accor added that in the near future, it will open 2 hotels in Dubai's the Palm Jumeirah and Downtown. Furthermore, the company expects its new hotel in Saudi Riyadh to start operations in two years. In the last 2 years, the company has launched hotels in Bahrain, Cairo, Al Khobar, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and the Mauritius. It is worth noting that Sofitel plans to increase its global hotels to 150 by 2015.
