(MENAFN- ProactiveInvestors - Australia) Cougar Energy (ASX: CXY) is continuing its confidential "without prejudice" communications with the Queensland Government to resolve the Queensland Supreme Court and the Queensland Planning & Environment Court proceedings.
As a result of these ongoing talks, Cougar has extended the previous timetable for the Supreme Court proceedings until 22 February 2013.
The Supreme Court proceedings revolve around the damages claim that Cougar is seeking over the Queensland Government's decision to shut its Kingaroy underground coal gasification pilot project while the Queensland Planning & Environment Court proceedings challenge the government department's requirements with respect to the Kingaroy site.
