UAE was early aware about importance of developing human capital, says Al Qatami


(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) Humaid Al Qatami, Minister of Education and Chairman of The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR), has praised the efforts of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, on making the UAE a role model and a launch-pad for excellence. The remarks were at the lecture at Dubai Culture and Science Symposium themed: "Investment in Human Resources and the Requirements of Development in the UAE". The event was attended by over 120 specialists and those interested in human resources. The lecturer was introduced by Sultan Saqr Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Dubai Culture and Science Symposium. "The UAE's care about the human resources stems from its conviction that they are the cause of making quality of life better", he said, noting that based on this notion, laws have been enacted to boost the role of human resources in nation-building. Al Qatami said the FAHR has launched a number of regulations to develop qualified human capital, highlighting a number of requirements on development of human resources in the UAE, notably, the education with all its components.
