(MENAFN - Arab Times) An Asian man reportedly ended his life by hanging himself with a rope tied to the ceiling inside a factory in Abdullah Port, reports Annahar daily.
According to victim's friends and co-workers he was suffering from family problems and financial difficulties.
The corpse of the victim has been referred to Forensics. Meanwhile, police have arrested an unidentified employee of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor for selling 12 work permits in collusion with a Kuwaiti man, reports Al-Anba daily.
A security source said those who bought the visas are considered accomplices and will be referred for interrogation individually. They will be deported if it is proved they knowingly paid money to a fake company.
In other incident, the Appeals bench of the Misdemeanor Court recently overturned the verdict for a lower court which had sentenced a member of the ruling family to two years imprisonment for issuing a KD 80,000 dud cheque to company, reports Al-Rai daily. The court issued the verdict citing lack of evidence to commit criminal offence.
And the Ministry of Commerce and Industry has administratively shut down a sports center for selling toy pistols which had a built-in recorded message abusive to Aisha, wife of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), reports Annahar daily.
