Google Revenues Grow 36 Per Cent


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Online advertising giant Google posted a 36-per-cent rise in fourth quarter revenues Tuesday with sales of 14.42 billion dollars, the company announced. Net income grew from 2.71 billion dollars to 2.89 billion dollars, a 7-per-cent rise. Revenues were $12.91 billion, or 89% of consolidated revenues, in the fourth quarter, up 22% year-over-year. Google-owned sites generated revenues of $8.64 billion, or 67% of total revenues during the quarter. Partner sites generated revenues of $3.44 billion, or 27% of total revenues. Other revenues from Google were $829 million, or 6% of total Google revenues. International revenues totaled $6.9 billion, representing 54% of total revenues for the quarter.
