Philippines gov't endorses USD3.62b projects


(MENAFN) The Philippines Presidential Communications Development and Strategic Planning Office's secretary, Ramon Carandang, announced that the government has endorsed 5 projects valued at nearly USD3.62 billion to enhance economic growth, reported Xinhua News. Carandang stated that the USD2 billion community-driven development project of the Department of Social Welfare and Development, is the biggest among the 5 projects. He added that other projects approved by the government comprise the USD872 million Cavite-Laguna Expressway, the USD627 million North Luzon Expressway- South Luzon Expressway Road Project, in addition to water impounding facilities. It is worth noting that the 5 projects will be financed via public-private partnership scheme and loans from global lending agencies.
