Saudi- EP lines up Spring Festival attractions 

(MENAFN - Arab News) The Eastern Province will host several tourism festivals and events during the midterm holidays and is expecting thousands of visitors. Al-Nearia Spring Festival will attract tourists from countries far and near. Visitors will enjoy the desert, the half-moon beach and its marine life, the resorts, restaurants, parks and commercial complexes.

Abdullatif bin Mohammad Al-Benayyan, executive director of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA) branch in the Eastern Province, said the Spring Festival is the most important tourist magnet in the region. It features a variety of events for all age groups. Among these are artisans' shows, hawk and falcon shows, the Museum of Alghat, snake shows and other entertainment events as well as many activities especially for women.

The province will host a SciTech Cultural Festival, full of educational, recreational and awareness events and activities. There will be competitions and games for children, scientific experiments and children's theater, acrobatics events and shows on the outdoor stage.

A program for future engineers aims to stimulate young people and help them to discover their talents. The events will take place in a number of commercial complexes such as Dareen Center Mall, Sail Center Mall and Al-Rashid Mall.
