UAE- Dewa hosts strategy review workshop


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa) has organised the 2013-2017 Strategy Review Workshop at The Palace hotel in Downtown Dubai. The workshop discussed Dewa's strategy for developmental projects in the coming five years and highlighted the main achievements of Dewa in 2012 in addition to presenting the roadmap for 2013. This workshop was organised in support of the long-term national initiative, green economy for sustainable development, launched by His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to reinforce sustainable development and maintain Dubai's leading position as a global hub for trade, finance, and tourism, and to achieve Dewa's vision to become a sustainable world-class utility. The event was attended by Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of Dewa, executive vice-presidents, vice-presidents, and divisional heads of Dewa. "Sustainability is an essential part of our vision and a deep-rooted value in our strategy," Al Tayer said.
