Liquor Bottles, Drugs Found On Two Kuwaitis In Salmiya


(MENAFN- Arab Times) Two citizens were arrested by securitymen in Salmiya area after a hot chase lasting more than 30 minutes, with 4 bottles of liquor and a quantity of heroin in their possession. They also had in their keep equipment for doing drugs, and an unspecified amount of money. Sources said patrolmen on routine duty in Salmiya area came across the suspects' vehicle parked by the roadside, and the driver drove off suddenly when he spotted the officers approaching the car. Meanwhile, the driver declined the orders of securitymen to stop for questioning but was chased and compelled to stop. A search was conducted inside their vehicle and the aforementioned items were found. During interrogation, they admitted trading in drugs and were referred with the items to Drug Prosecution. Meanwhile, patrolmen affiliated to Jahra Security Directorate arrested a 30-year-old citizen accompanied by two GCC expatriates on Abdali Motorway with an unlicensed weapon and ammunitions in their possession. Apparently, the suspects were on their way to the zone for hunting. They were referred to the concerned authority. On the other hand, Capital securitymen apprehended a Bedoun driving an American-made vehicle on the Arabian Gulf Street with a bottle of local brew filled in a mineral water bottle. He was referred to the concerned authority. Meanwhile, a Kuwaiti citizen accompanied by a Syrian expatriate was arrested by Hawalli securitymen with 21 narcotic pills in their possession. The officers were on routine tour in Salmiya late at night when they spotted the suspects inside a car and approached them for questioning. They found the aforementioned items after conducting a search inside their car, and referred them to Drug Prosecution without delay.
