Nokia to discharge more than 1000 IT workers


(MENAFN) Nokia announced that it will lay off more than 1000 IT employees as part of its restructuring program, reported Reuters. The Finnish firm said that the move is part of its plans to slash 10,000 jobs, of which 3,700 are in Finland. It said that the figure comprises 820 workers who will relocate to HCL Technologies and Tata Consultancy Services. Furthermore, 300 employees will be discharged altogether, with most of the cuts taking place in Finland, according to the cellphone maker.
