(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Banks across Greece will remain closed on Wednesday for a 24-hour national strike called by the sectors' union Otoe to protest against the privatization of Post Bank.
'At a time during which the government in cooperation with the troika (IMF, EU, ECB) decides to make the Post Bank disappear and punish its workers, we express our firm opposition and declare that Post Bank can be a valid unit of another banking group able to contribute to the Greek economy', said a statement issued by the Greek postal bank's employees.
