US Embassy officials visit colleges in Ibra 

(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) A delegation from the US Embassy travelled to Ibra on Monday to visit higher education institutes in the regionThe team, which included Erin Uzes, assistant public affairs officer, Amelia Mathias, political officer, and Batool Baqer, cultural affairs assistant, visited theIbra College of Technology and Sharqiyah University to brief students and faculty members about the embassy's educational and guest speaker programmes, a press release said.At Ibra College of Technology, Erin and Batool gave a presentation on the cultural and professional exchange programmes offered annually by the US Embassy.Erin said, ''We hope many students and faculty members from Ibra and other regions in Oman will consider study or training programmes in the US. In addition to our exchange programmes, we are also delighted to work with Omani higher education institutions to bring experts and students from the US to Oman.''Following the presentation, Amelia spoke to the students and faculty about the concept of universal human rights and the anniversary of the signing of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights last month, the release added.
