The State Lease No. 20369 No. 2 well is expected to be brought on stream by late January/early February 2013 through expanded pipeline and processing facilities completed during 2012.
While the well was originally permitted to a total depth of 5,915 metres, all commercial objectives were met by reaching the current depth of 5,686 metres and the decision was taken to stop drilling.
Petsec has an 8% interest in the Marathon field.
