Kuwait- Bedoun Sets Self On Fire Inside Vehicle


(MENAFN- Arab Times) A Bedoun known as Bader committed suicide recently by setting himself on fire inside his vehicle at Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh. When securitymen received a distress call about a Cherokee Jeep on fire, they rushed to the location with paramedics and firefighters. After extinguishing the fire, firefighters discovered the charred corpse of a man inside the vehicle. His remains were referred to the Forensics Department. Investigations revealed that the corpse was of a 47-year-old Bedoun who was married and had nine children, six male and three female. Security sources revealed that the deceased decided to commit suicide, as he was unable to keep up with the family expenses particularly for the education of the children and house rent since he was earning a salary of only KD 100 from the cooperative society where he worked. The brother of the deceased disclosed that he had received an SMS from his brother before he committed suicide, which said, "Take care of my children", adding that he tried to call him but the mobile phone was switched off and a few hours later, he received information that his brother died. He said, "Bader was not in debt nor did he have any psychological problems". Another sibling of the deceased said, "Bader was so religious that he used to observe prayers regularly but he was very poor". Meanwhile, there are rumors that the incident is likely to be criminal in nature.
