South Korean President Calls For Overcoming Economic Crisis

(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) President-elect Park Geun-hye told her transition committee Monday to focus on correcting bad practices causing real pain to the people, rather than trying to make brand new policies, as she issued a set of guidelines for the team's operation. Park gave the instructions at a committee meeting she presided over for the first time since the team went into operation the previous day, stressing that identifying the exact causes of problematic policies and practices should be the starting point of addressing those matters, according to a report of 'Yonhap' news agency. 'It is important not to repeat wrong practices of the past ... In order for that, a correct diagnosis is more important than anything else,' Park said. Whenever she met with people running small and medium-sized businesses, they asked her to 'pull out the thorn stuck in the tip of their finger,' Park said, stressing that resolving problems giving real pain to the people is more important than devising new policies, according to spokesman Yoon Chang-jung.
