(MENAFN - Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Kuwait's ambassador to the United Mexican States Samih Jawhar Hayat has held talks with the Constitutional Governor of the Mexican State of Baja, Jos{ Guadalupe Osuna Millan, on means of boosting bilateral ties.
The ambassador, speaking at a news conference, following the meeting at the governor's palace, late on Friday, expressed satisfaction at results of the talks and hoped the meeting would signal start for establishing cooperation in the investment, trade and economic sectors.
He also called on Mexican entrepreneurs to explore investment opportunities in Kuwait where the government is masterminding execution of a major development strategy.
Ambassador Hayat has been touring Mexican states and holding talks with local decision-makers in an effort to examine investment opportunities and lay basis for business cooperation with the State of Kuwait.
During the talks with the Mexican governor, Hayat urged for facilitating Kuwaiti investments in mega projects in the infrastructure, railways and tourism.
For his part, Millan expressed desire to boost such cooperation and expressed gratitude to the ambassador for visiting the state.
The diplomat arrived in Baja on Wednesday, on a visit in response to a previous invitation from the governor for sake of exploring avenues for boosting bilateral ties and mutual cooperation in the trade and investment sectors. He had already held talks with senior local officials and prominent business figures in the state.
