Kuwait- Egyptian taxi driver cheats 3 compatriots of KD 1,000 each


(MENAFN- Arab Times) Police are looking for an unidentified Egyptian taxi driver for cheating three compatriots and 'stealing' from them KD 1,000 each, reports Alam Alyawm daily. According to the complainants the suspect made the victims believe that he has good connections with senior government officials and promised to get them jobs in government institutions. He also told them it would cost them KD 1,000 each and after collecting the money from the victims, he put his cell phone off and disappeared. Meanwhile, an Arab owner of a garage in Amghara has filed a complaint with the police accusing an unidentified person of impersonating police and stealing KD 800 from him, reports Al-Anba daily. According to the complainant the impersonator said he was from the investigation department and accused the owner of possessing drugs. He then asked the man to show his wallet and escaped with the money. Police are looking for the suspect. In the meantime, an unidentified Asian man has filed a complaint with the police accusing four men armed with a knife of threatening to kill and stealing his money and civil ID, reports Al-Rai daily. In his complaint to the police the victim said the incident happened when he was walking along a street in Jahra. Police are looking for the suspects. Meanwhile, police are looking for an unidentified person for breaking into the vehicle of a Kuwaiti woman and stealing her handbag containing KD 40 and cell phone, reports Al-Shahed daily. The theft occurred inside the free trade zone. As soon as the Operations Department of the Ministry of Interior received a call from the woman, personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department were sent to the spot to lift the fingerprints.
